There was a viral trend released earlier this year which saw an AI generated GIF of a proposed first-person fantasy RPG with the style of those pixel-art realistic lo-fi dungeon synth videos. Many people saw it for what it was and wished it was a real game, well those people are about to be pleasantly surprised as a small indie development studio known as ‘OMW Game Studio’ is planning on doing exactly that with their title Shores of Vaelithar.
The game is very much in the early stages of development currently, and notably doesn’t include AI in the development of the game at all, just using it to generate concept art like the original GIF it’s based on, which is nice. No release date currently, but you can see it in action on their Steam page right here.
