If you are as old as me when you think of Counter Strike you don’t think of the modern skin-gambling casino that is Global Offensive, or even Counter Strike 2, you think of Source 1.6, the modern, but classic, way to play Counter Strike. still popular around the world, though largely unsupported, it ignored the bells and whistles of the modern game and just let you get into games to shoot terrorists, or become them!
As luck would have it then, a team is planning on remastering 1.6 and making it into a modern-looking title but keeping everything that makes it special gameplay-wise. It’s called ‘Counter Strike: Legacy’ and is slated to come out later this year. It’s being made by a dedicated team of modders, some of the best for this title, and it even set to come out on Steam, making it a true remaster that will be easily accessible. Even I wll be checking it out, and reliving some old glory days. God I feel old…
