Sony recently held a livestream showing off abunch of upcoming projects, most of which I don’t particularly care that much about, aside from maybe that Wolverine game. However, one project that was brought up with the trailer above was a remaster of Deus Ex, one of the most beloved PC Classics of all time.
Now this is an interesting place to announce this, as while it is indeed coming to the PS5 it’s also coming to PC, so why it wasn’t announced at a show dedicated to that I have no idea. Regardless, Deus Ex is getting remastered with updates textures, lighting and all the bells and whistles including apparently quality of life features such as autosaves. The remaster is being developed by Aspyr and Eidos-Montréal so there’s some good talent behind this. I actually have never fully played through the original, so maybe this will be a good chance for me to catch up on a classic. The game is set to release next year, so if you’re looking for an iconic cyberpunk adventure maybe keep an eye on this one, or maybe just pick up the original, I’ve heard it’s dirt cheap.
