Another beloved melee weapon in many video game settings Scythes are rather unique for not usually being associated with your usual Knight/Warrior characters, indeed this reflects the real world where most scythes were never used for combat, but for farming. Typically those using Scythes as weapons in games are usually associated with Death, Undeath or just plain Edgyness and that’s what makes using a Scythe as a weapon all the more silly and wonderful to see. I enjoy my Scythes when I get to play as a Necromancer, something on hand to make sure I don’t feel vulnerable when someone gets in my undead face, but I have to say the more overdesigned and unrealistic the scythe is, the better it is too many. It’s a fictional setting, if it already doesn’t make practical sense to use a weapon like this you may as well go all out.
