As someone who grew up on a farm I certainly have a soft spot for games about simulating a farm life. Games like Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon tend to bring across the serene tranquility of living a life at your own pace bringing something up and making it your own. While it doesn’t really emulate the complexities of farm life, such as the anxiety of bad crop seasons, or the difficulty in dealing with certain animals, it still gives a nostalgic feeling for a simpler time in life outside of the typical 9-5.
