So here’s a funny story, and a bit of trivia for those who don’t play Yugioh! There’s a card, Elemental Hero Air Neos, that is used by the main character of one of the animes as a random upgrade to their main monster. What is interesting though is, ever since that time, and ever since the cards started getting reprinted, Air Neos has not been seen, even in cards that should show him off like collaboration cards or ones that have all the upgrades to Neos on them. To this day, we still don’t fully know why.
The theory is that there is an aircraft company, Neos Air, who would place a copyright claim against Konami if they tried to show a card that used a similar name to them. but this is not confirmed and truthfully it doesn’t make an awful lot of sense. So the mystery still remains, and many players still refer to him as ‘The Forbidden One’ for funny effect. Maybe one day we will finally get Air Neos seen again… somehow I have my doubts. But yeah, there’s your random, interesting piece of trivia for the day!
