With my recent obsessions with different kinds of characters, mainly between big dumb brutes with big sticks and standard fantasy wizards, I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t know what I like, and I don’t know what kind of person I am. Existential crisis aside it does bring up an interesting talking point when it comes to video games, once I wish to pose to all of you. Do you prefer being in melee, or ranged combat? Whilst this mostly applies to fantasy settings, as when you get into modern or sci-fi settings ranged essentially becomes the standard, but I’m interested to know which of these style of combat you prefer more. Share your thoughts in the comments and lets see which side you decide to dedicate yourself to… maybe then I’ll know where my loyalties should be.
