If you all remember the disastrous cancellation of one of the most anticipated games in recent memory, Hytale, it seems as though there may be a light at the end of the tunnel for this project as Riot Games (who bought the project a few years back to fund it fully) have sold the game back to its original development team so that they could end up finishing the project by themselves and through their own money. It’s a big risk, and the team have outwardly said they are now aiming to release the game in an early state as soon as possible and work on it past that point, essentially like early access. Who knows if it will end up being any good, all I know though is that a lot of promises were made, and it’s likely many of them will not be fulfilled when this early project releases. I’ll be keeping an eye on this, but expect some hefty backlash for what ends up coming out of this whole debacle.
