In an interesting announcement a new Horizon game has been revealed, but this time it’s a PC and Mobile exclusive, and it’s an MMO, so both Playstation and Single Player fans aren’t getting what they were hoping.
This new project, Horizon: Steel Frontiers, is set in an area called ‘The Deathlands’ and sees you playing as one of many ‘Machine Hunters’ who must compete with other tribes to take down the massive robo-dinosaurs the series is most well known for. It’s an interesting direction for the series to go, and it’s being co-developed by NCSoft who created Guild Wars, so there’s some pedigree behind this entry. Still, the fact that this is being created primarily as a mobile game makes me very suspicious, and it seems as though it may just end up being a generic gacha game with a Horizon skin. I hope I’m wrong, but who knows at this point. No release date currently, so we will just have to wait and see.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
