Well this was pretty much the only gaming news item I could talk about, GTA 6 has officially been announced as having a delay on its release to November 16th 2026, a full 6 months from its original expected release date.
The reason? The usual, polish, making the end product better etc, essentially Rockstar and Take-Two don’t want a Cyberpunk 2077 situation, even though the increasing deays make it seem more and more like the game is going down that route. With these delays, and with the recent protests at Rockstar due to union-busting activities things certainly don’t seem to be hunky-dory over there. For me, I don’t particularly care for the delay, as I would be playing the game on PC anyway and due to it being a console-only release for perhaps a year or so this is just an expected delay for me. The backlash online is huge, which I find rather funny, so I guess we will see what the end product will turn out to be. Spoiler warning, I don’t think it will be that good, but we will see.
