Games Workshop have really been throwing the Warhammer IP out for pretty much every kind of game genre lately. The fact that they have a racing game is telling enough. However, this latest reveal for a Warhammer game, ‘Warhammer Survivors’, is certainly one to keep an eye on.
As the name implies, this is a Vampire Survivors clone, but unlike many others, this actually has the seal of approval from the original devs as it even uses the same engine. As such, this is as close to a spin-off for the famous indie title as you can get. It obviously features Warhammer 40K characters fighting Tyranids, but it even has characters from Age of Sigmar, the current high-fantasy setting, fighting off against Skaven too, so you get your pick of which setting you want to experience! The game is also being developed by Auroch Digital, who were the people who made Boltgun which is a good sign as that was a game that truly understood what makes the absurd parts of the setting enjoyable and so I can certainly see them taking great care with the development of this game too. The game is currently set to come out in 2026 at some point, so keep an eye out for it and if you’re a Vampire Survivors fan I’d definitely suggest giving this a try. You may just find a brand new setting you enjoy.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
