Tiredness and the Motivation to Play Games

Pfft, triple monitors, no wonder he’s tired

I’ve recently encountered an issue that has led to me feeling as though my ability to enjoy the gaming sphere as a whole is at risk, I’ve been too sleepy lately.

Yes you heard that correct, my sleepyness following a full day of work has bled into my gaming time, meaning that in a lot of instances instead of playing and enjoying the games I want I end up choosing the pillow instead. Maybe I need a better work/sleep schedule, maybe specific circumstances have led to me crossing over my computer and nap time, or perhaps this is an issue that others experience too.

Raise your hand if you’ve turned on your PC or Console, looked at your library of games and just felt absolutely no motivation to play anything for some reason. It could be depression, tiredness, or just simply you don’t feel in the mood to play any games. For me, it just feels like many days I open up my library and my legs ache and I just want to sleep. It’s a strange feeling, as gaming is obviously my main hobby, so I want to do that to enjoy my day. Alas, perhaps circumstances change and bones become more achey over time. I’ll get back to playing games properly soon, I hope, and in the meantime, dreams await me.

Have you ever had this feeling? If so how did you get over it? Feel free to share with the rest of us, this is a safe space. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
