The Weekly Updates

New boss every week? Sign me up!

Something that modern gaming has allowed us to do is giving us the ability to update games remotely over time, allowing for the creation of the MMO and the ‘Live Service’ game, for better or worse. One of the good things about it however is the ability to allow new content to be delivered every so often, which for games like Elden Ring: Nightreign or Warframe is great, as it allows an almost predictable stream of new things to keep you coming back for more.

Nightreign is actually a great example as with a new Everdark Sovereign boss being revealed every week it’s given me reason to constantly go back and look at the game once more which has been a huge boon to replayability. For Warframe, the fact that new challenges and weekly rewards keep being brought up not only gives me reason to play more but it also allows me to test new builds to see what playstyles work for me best and how enjoyable I find them to be at the highest level of challenge. Things like this give me constant reason to keep playing, rather than just being one and done with single player titles, and whilst that also most certainly has its place it’s nice to know that I have new content I can try out on a constant basis.

My question to all of you then is what game does this constant stream of sectioned new content best in your opinion? Be sure to share in the comments below. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
