So this isn’t strictly a gaming related topic but I thought it would be interesting to talk about. Human augmentation, similar to that seen in Deus Ex or a large amount of other games. Would you take it if you were given the choice or would you actively try to stop humans taking this step?
For me as a transhumanist I would love the opportunity to do something like this. Robotic arms, enhanced vision, sign me up! But for many they see being human and staying as pure as being the most important thing in life. I don’t really know how to feel about that, I don’t value my humanity greatly, I just seek to advance myself as a person.
