Call of Duty Micro Warfare

Oh how you have fallen from grace

The Call of Duty 4 remaster is still a thing surprisingly, and it’s still bundled together with the generally critically panned Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. I knew the game wasn’t going to do well from the start when they announced they were bundled together. I have heard that the remaster isn’t even optimised for the new systems yet which you would think would be one of Activision’s first priorities.

Well it turns out that Activision have other plans. A recent patch to the remaster has added back in Supply Drops to the Call of Duty franchise, their version of the microtransaction system. This is shocking to the point that you could have Microtransactions in a game that you bought if you got the special edition of Infinite Warfare which cost more than the normal version. So you are being shoved more things to buy even when you have spent more on the game than those who bought the standard edition, in fact they won’t even see these new Microtransactions at all!

I guess it just goes to show that the COD franchise is slowly going downhill. Whether the game series will come back at all entirely relies upon whetehr the publishers start listening to their fans. Then again the sound of money to them usually is the much more pleasurable option unfortunately. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
