The End of Zero Punctuation

Well… talk about the end of an era

Today is a sad day for game reviewers as one of the longest running game review shows, Zero Punctuation, is now effectively gone thanks to the leaving of the show’s host, Ben ‘Yahtzee’ Croshaw, from the company that owns the rights to the series, The Escapist.

From what is known effectively the entire video crew for the website has essentially up and left following a series of firings that left the entire team in shock and anger. Thus the team have simply decided they can do better on their own and left, but with ZP being owned by The Escapist it seems as though this series is now effectively dead as even if they bring on another host it quite simply will not work. This show was Yahtzee’s baby, so seeing it being done by anyone else would just feel wrong. This hits particularly hard for me as Yahtzee’s show was one of the inspirations for me writing on this website and doing reviews, so seeing this long running show gone so suddenly is quite the shock to the system. I’m sure he will be on to bigger and better things, but for now it’s just sad vibes and bad companies, everything burns…

That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
