It’s the 30th Anniversary of the Elder Scrolls 1: Arena! Did you know that? Well Bethesda did, and they decided to give a wee statement celebrating this fact and giving a nod to the series as a whole. However, that’s not all. Within this statement they also decided to tease that the next long-awaited entry in the series, Elder Scrolls 6, is now in some playable form and they have been enjoying trying it out.
This news isn’t exactly mind-blowing as we knew Elder Scrolls 6 has been coming for a while now. However, seeing the developers note that the game is in a playable format is a huge deal as it gives us a better sense as to where the game currently is in the development cycle and potentially gives us a better indication as to when it is likely to release. Is it this year? Probably not, but there’s always that glimmer of hope. Here’s to another 30 years of a great fantasy series, let’s just hope Bethesda don’t screw up with ES6.
