Ubisoft E3 2017 Conference

I think half the room jumped out of their seats when they saw this

This is a phrase I thought I would never say, but it seems that Ubisoft had the best conference of E3 this year. Starting off their presentation was the announcement of what is perhaps the strangest game I have ever heard of, a Mario/Rabbids crossover game that plays as a turn based strategy game like XCOM… colour me interested. The game itself looks actually really good, so I am excited to see how it plays when it comes out.

Of course there was your usual announcements. They showed off some Assassin’s Creed: Origins gameplay showing us that it does indeed take place in Egypt. There was some gameplay of Far Cry 5 which really makes me want to check it out, though the fact it’s so long away makes me sad. They announced a brand new pirate themed game called Skull & Bones which looks really good. Of course however the biggest announcement was at the very end, they revealed a trailer for Beyond Good and Evil 2 which I think sent the internet ablaze when they finally showed the game is still being made.

Ubisoft mainly won this conference by showing us games we wanted to see (and getting rid of an incredibly cringey presenter) and now I have high hopes for them in the future. You’ve won my trust Ubisoft, don’t screw it up. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
