I wanted to talk with you all about the anticipation of waiting for a pre-ordered game to arrive in the post. Most people now use digital downloads or go to Midnight launches of their latest games in order to get instant access to them however there is still a soft spot in my heart for waiting at the front door as you count down the minutes until the postman arrives to give you what you have been waiting for.
It’s not efficient by any means however the anticipation of them arriving seems to make it all the more exciting. While waiting for my copy of Pokemon Sun to arrive I counted down closer and closer until I had to go to work, at various points I felt like just giving up as I didn’t think it would come before I had to head off. However on the last half hour it arrived and I must have screamed the house down when I saw it.
So while it may not be fun for many and can even lead to late game deliveries it’s still a great experience to keep you excited and feeling childlike again. Though to be honest a midnight launch is probably more exciting and worthwhile, I’ll just have to wait and see what that is like! That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
