Nintendo has announced that at E3 this year they will be hosting the very first Smash for Switch competitive tournament, without them having even shown any gameplay! It’s most likely that the game will be shown off in an announcement before the event officially starts but I must say this is a very fun and interesting way to introduce us to the game.
Not only will this be showing the more serious Smash players what the state of the new game for competitive play will be, which seems to indicate that this will be a big focus of the new game, but also it will show off to the general public a really exciting and fast paced way to see the game in action. I for one will be keeping my eyes peeled for Nintendo’s announcements at E3 and I certainly hope they show off a lot for Smash, having a Switch now means that I shall be getting this on release!
