The Compatibility Collection

Hey, at least I can still use my physical disk!

In a pretty odd move Microsoft has decided to add a few more games onto their backwards compatibility program, however this time they chose to allow all of the first four Halo games to be playable.

This is an odd choice as most of you will remember the fact that the Master Chief collection exists, meaning that there is already a way to play the games on the Xbox One, and they even have graphical/resolution upgrades!

This seems like a pretty pointless move on the company’s part. The only reason this exists seemingly is so that people who have physical copies of these games but didn’t buy the Master Chief Collection can play them online, which I do appreciate as that would exactly be the situation I would be in if I ever got an Xbox One but still it just seems bizzare.

Anyway are you all excited by this news? Do you think this foreshadows anything? Be sure to comment and let me know what you all think about this. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
