Over the past few days instead of turning to Fallout New Vegas like I originally had planned I decided to take a trip back to cyrodill and play through the wonderful game of Oblivion once more. It’s weird just how much I find myself brought back to this game even though many consider it the black sheep of the franchise.
What I find most interesting however is the people who want to compare this game and it’s sequel, Skyrim. Sure both games are in the same franchise and yes gameplay wise Skyrim makes some notable gameplay additions however I think ultimately I still might prefer Oblivion overall. Maybe it’s the feel of the game, being more lighthearted than the serious tone of Skyrim. Perhaps it’s the brighter world and less… well… snowy environment that I find more visually appealing. Either way that’s my own personal opinion but I am most interested in hearing what you all have to say. Which game do you find better and what is your reasoning? Be sure to comment and let us know!
