So I will full admit it, I don’t get MOBA’s. By that statement of course I mean that I do fully understand the concept and mechanics of most games in the genre, it’s just that I don’t see the appeal in them.
I personally have never played a true MOBA. The closest I have come is the 3rd person shooter MOBA hybrid Minimum. It was actually pretty fun, but the appeal didn’t last too long. Maybe it’s just from seeing all the gameplay of it online and seeing just how insane and completely un-user friendly a lot of MOBA’s are to watch. Sure I understand it’s a great E-Sport and has a huge amount of excitement involved but I just think it’s all a bit too much.
Maybe that’s also why I’m skeptical about playing Overwatch as it seems to have some MOBA-Esque things about it. Maybe I’ll at least try it out, maybe I might even learn to love the genre. I guess we will just have to find out.
