Horde Modes

Ahh, the classic

Horde Modes in games are usually the go to mode for people to repeatedly play when co-op is involved. They usually share similar traits, endless waves of enemies, score tracking, power ups, money or weapon upgrades the list goes on. Games recently have made evolutions on this formula however and created ways for people to experience this interesting game mode.

I mention this because Overwatch’s newest addition, Uprising PvE, is like a story centered H0rde mode. Sure it technically doesn’t count as one due to the fact that the scenario does eventually end however it’s the other factors that make me consider it a member of this sector of gaming. Score based gameplay, class selections, incredibly high difficulty if you want it to be and even strategies to do with timing and enemy placement. I’ve been treating it just like a Horde Mode (mainly because I can’t seem to beat it on the highest difficulty) and I am loving the return to this old gaming technique.

So what do you all think? Do you enjoy Horde Modes and do you consider Overwatch’s newest game mode one? Be sure to relay your thoughts! That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
