So I have a stressful day ahead of me, however I couldn’t care less because I’m listening to Katamari on the Rocks, what could possibly be the most positive and happy piece of music ever taken from a video game. Not many pieces of game music have me jumping about the room having a Jig to upbeat J-rock but this wonderful piece did and I so wish there was more standout game music like this.
I’ve talked before about how game music can help to set an atmosphere for a game and that sometimes it is overlooked however there are also many times in which either main game themes or simply memorable songs from games aren’t given the recognition they deserve from people. I used to fear when I was a teen having people look at my Ipod as I thought they would think I was weird having it mostly filled with game music, these days though I couldn’t really care less what they think of that.
So what do you all think of these wonderful and upbeat pieces of music (Katamari on the Rocks especially).
