Crossover Mods

Oh well... hello there... daddy...
Oh well… hello there… daddy…

After being inspired by an amazing mod for Fallout 4 in which the Big Daddy armor was added into the game (Seriously check it out the mod is spectacularly done) I was reminded of the subject of gaming homages in other games, usually through the use of mods.

There are many games in which you can completely change the art style of world-space of a game into that of your favourite franchises. The Total War series has had an Elder Scrolls mod which has changed up pretty much the whole game adding things such as new units and maps while the Quake series has had a Halo conversion. All these different mods and different game franchises being brought together really shows the dedication of some modders to really bring back their favourite franchises.

Personally I believe they do it to extend their game franchise into new places. I mean an Elder Scrolls RTS? If Bethesda offered something like that I’d snap it up on the spot! Though maybe some people just want to create a large scale mod and using a pre-select other game series helps them to speed up the process by not needing to design a whole new set of creatures/people/lore. What do you all think of total conversion crossover mods? Be sure to let us know in the comments! That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
