After many weeks of waiting the newest Overwatch hero, Brigitte, has finally hit the live servers and is available for everyone to play. While it is a great time to rejoice for those who enjoy tanking and healing a lesser known thing which is a big concern is the fact that she is locked out of competitive until the start of the next season, which begins sometime in May.
Now for many this won’t be a concern however for those of us who really want to try her out in a competitive environment this is a huge problem. The idea was to make every season feel special by introducing a new thing into it however I just feel as though this is far too long of a gap between release and competitive play. I suppose we will just have to see how this plays out and if the pros decide to use her in their teams.
