I briefly touched upon this in my previous post but I’ll go into more detail here as to why I’m excited for the new Zelda game, Breath of the Wild. I haven’t actually seen a lot of footage from this game and that is deliberate. I always find Zelda games to be best experienced completely blind so while I have seen some early open world exploration gameplay that’s pretty much all I am watching.
The game looks very different from the normal formula. It seems like a mix between an Elder Scrolls game with its focus on open world exploration, weapon use, crafting and interacting with quests at your own pace while also mixing in the great aspects of Zelda such as puzzle solving and a great combat system. Honestly while I might not be very hyped about the Switch this game is certainly peaking my interests and I will be eagerly awaiting March 3rd for when I can get my hands on it.
