Twitter Plays Pokemon

Pretty much the only way I could show a picture of this

You’ve heard of Pokemon Red, you’ve heard of Twitch Plays Pokemon, but now get ready for Twitter’s turn! Yes a Twitter user has actually found out a way to let the internet play a copy of Pokemon Red using the online social media site alone, and it’s using his avatar picture in order to display progress, what now?

Twitter user @screenshakes has set it so that by replying to one of his pinned Tweets with one of the button inputs used by the game every 15 seconds the game will be updated on his emulator with the input that had the most amounts of Tweets and will then automatcally update the picture shown in his profile to the next frame of the game, certainly a complicated system but it’s amazing what technology can do. Now let’s see how long it takes for them to actually beat the game. If you’re interested in taking part then visit their Twitter profile at this link and let’s see if we can make Twitter history!

That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
