In pretty much the only gaming news that is being talked about currently I can happily say that Bungie are no longer partnered with Activision, happy days.
Bungie was part of a ten year contract with Activision who would handle the publishing of the Destiny series however it seems as though Bungie wanted out early and in doing so they also took Destiny with them. What this means is that Bungie shall publish the games themselves and make all of the decisions about the game’s future.
This is especially good for those who believe that Activision were putting in some of the more nefarious game mechanics into Destiny such as Microtransactions and other such terrible ideas. It’s been reported that after this split Activision’s stock has plummeted hard so I suppose we shall see if this turns out for the better for both companies.
