This is an interesting surprise to myself as I have never heard of this before but it certainly is very much up my alley. Apparently the original creator of the Fire Emblem series, Shouzo Kaga, has been releasing a series of games titled “Vesteria’s Saga” and has made several games in the franchise already however they have been Japan-only releases.
Now however the first game in the series, War if the Scions, has finally been released to the west with a full English translation and was released on PC too. This is very notable as the game was released in Japan inn 2016 and since then has been a rather obscure title despite it being from the creator of the biggest tactical RPG series ever made.
As you can see from the screenshots the game very much seems like the classic Fire Emblem series which is good for me as the only games I really enjoyed in the series came from the Gameboy Advance titles and so as such these interest me greatly. It will be interesting to see how these games handle the tactical RPG formula and if they were really a hidden gem over all these years.
