Well here’s a big surprise that I don’t think anyone was expecting. Earlier in the week the creator of the XCOM series tweeted about possibly doing something to celebrate the 6th anniversary of the game series however. Just earlier this surprise was finally announced, one last piece of DLC for XCOM 2 called the ‘Tactical Legacy Pack’.
This new piece of content will add several brand new story missions that you can play seperately from the campaign which bridges the gap between the events of Enemy Unknown and XCOM 2 which a lot of players were dying to know more about. Equipment and music from the previous games will also be returning with even a completely new remixed soundtrack from the original XCOM: UFO Defense. Not only that but it will also offer brand new maps, more cosmetics and even a full mission editor for players who want to create their own scenarios. The best part about all of this however? It’s completely free to all of those who already own the game and get it before December 3rd. Many people thought XCOM 2 had finished it’s run and was ready to be put to rest but this just proves that the developers truly care about this game and their fans. I cannot wait for this to be released on the 9th of October and replay one of my favourite strategy games of all time.
That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
