Rockstar Dundee

Doesn’t quite flow like Crocodile now does it?

An interesting trend seems to be popping up over this crazy year and that’s the fact that a lot of gaming companies are buying up smaller ones to add to their portfolio. We had the biggest one earlier last month with Microsoft and Bethesda and now it seems Rockstar are joining in with their latest addition, Ruffian Games.

The Scottish studio was reponsible for a few projects including the creation of Crackdown 2, helping to port the Master Chief Collection to PC and also assisting Rockstar themselves with engineering and coding so it seems they already had a working relationship before all this happened. Couple that with the fact that they are based in the same country and you can see why something like this would be almost inevitable considering the amount of influence Rockstar currently has.

Now that their parent company is Take-Two Interactive they have also come with an official rebranding now becoming known as Rockstar Dundee which I suppose makes sense as that is where they are based. I just hope that this deal works out well for them and they can share in some of the success thatg Rockstar has gained over the years. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
