XD Projekt Red have been on a roll recently with the massive success of The Witcher 3 and the hugely anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 coming in the near future. As another project is looming on the horizon, the standalone card game set in the Witcher universe known as ‘Gwent’, another game has just been announced which actually fits in with this other game known as ‘Gwent: Thronebreaker’.
The game is stated to be originally the single player portion of the Gwent card game but after realising it’s a much bigger project than they realised they have decided to release it as a full blown game. It’s stated to combine together single player RPG mechanics with card-game based gameplay which doesn’t actually sound that appealing (especially with it being set in The Witcher universe, why couldn’t we get another small single player RPG experience!?) but with the great work CD Projekt Red has been doing recently I have faith that they can pull this off!
