If you were a child of the 90’s and lived in the UK then you may remember a notable TV show for gamers known as GamesMaster which was a show that involved kids and celebrities taking part in challenges related to games released at the time in order to win prizes and other such game show shenanigans. Though the show is no longer in production there is a new pitch to Channel 4’s E4 to revive the series with modern games in mind and bring the concept of a video game dedicated TV show to the audiences of today.
Interestingly an image located on the Channel 4 site also shows Sir Patrick Stewart in relation to GamesMaster which may indicate he will somehow be involved with the show however I’m not too sure if he would be the best bet as Patrick has never really shown an interest in the genre. While looking through comments on articles of this story however I noted something one person said which would be a brilliant choice, having Dara O’Brien being the host. He’s shown an interest in gaming before and would work very well as a comedic element to the show so if for some reason someone in the production team is looking at this, get looking at that suggestion!
