There seems to be a lot more games that try to emulate the fun of Stardew Valley and another indie title set to be released in spring opf next year (how fitting) is set to take it’s own spin on this concept.
Garden Story is a farming/adventuring style game that places you in the tiny feet of a grape known as Concord. You will work together with the people around the garden town you all live in and collect resources/fight monsters in order to defeat a force known as ‘The Rot’. The concept is cute and from the gameplay they have shown it certainly looks to have a unique visual style. Hopefully they can capitalise on the concept of everyone being a plant and use this to make the gameplay more varied and interesting to make it stand out from the crowd. It looks cute enough that I may just have to give it a go when it comes out. Maybe gaming will make a gardener out of me after all.
