In a massive plot twist that I don’t think many saw coming the new massive project for Fallout: New Vegas, The Frontier, has been taken down from the Nexus and Steam following confirmed allegations that one of the developers, ZuTheSkunk, was a paedophile and had posted animated content of this nature on one of their personal art accounts.
Following these confirmed cases the mod team decided they removed the offending developer from the team, banned them from their discord and wanted to take the content down and decide what to do with it. Now many of you are probably thinking now what does one of the morally reprehensible developer’s actions have to do with the mod itself? Well as it turns out with this new perspective come to light some of the content in the game takes on a new and much darker context for what the player character is allowed to do in the name of being an ‘evil character’. This includes a particularly offensive case in which you can enslave and have sex with a teenage girl which makes my skin crawl just thinking about how a developer could have included something like that just to satisfy themselves. Many in the development team have already quit as they don’t want to be associated with this work and it’s an absolute shame that one person has completely dismantled all these years of hard work and that a big project such as this has had to suffer because of it. I wish the developers the best of luck and praise in figuring out what to do with the mod and I hope they can move past this horrible event.
