Co-operative games sometimes find difficulty in standing out from the crowd as a lot of ideas and features have already been created in this gaming landscape. One such idea was a fun game known as ‘Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes’ which was a mix of a challenging puzzle game and multiplayer board game in a way and now a new game seeks to bring that concept into the world of fantasy.
‘Exorcise the Demons’ follows the same basic principle of Keep Talking in that one person controls the character on screen who has to perform tasks while your friends must look through a book in order to help you work out what is happening on screen. While Keep Talking was all about bomb defusal this title actually follows you performing demonic rituals including sacrifices, alchemical formulas and of course a lot of magical incantations. This concept is actually more interesting to me than Keep Talking which immediately has brought this to my eye. These type of games are great party choices and (hopefully) if this game get’s a VR version I will definitely be showing it off to my friends as we all attempt to keep demons at bay. I hope it ends up succeeding as this concept is really cool and interesting.
