Event Disaster

The true cave experience… at the back of a used trailer…

So an event in Norfolk may go down as one of the worst organised gaming themed events to ever happen and funnily enough it had nothing to do with the original creators.

‘Fortnite Live’ was a family day out experience event that took place recently that centered itself around the game Fortnite. However the fun of the day quickly died out when it turned out that tickets cost £20 per person and the experience was… lackluster to say the least. Computers were set up to play Fortnite which is a free game you could just as easily play at home, a go-kart track with only four karts which was to cater to over 2700 people, a single rock climbing wall and the funniest of them all was a ‘cave experience’ which was just an old converted trailer with some shedding parts attached.

All of this combined with awful queue times of almost an hour for each activity and it led to a lot of frustration and anger from both parents and the children who attended. Epic Games wasn’t even affiliated with this travesty with it instead being ran by a group called ‘Exciting Events’ which is just beautiful irony. I can’t wait to see the mainstream backlash and coverage of this awful idea, it will certainly be fun to watch from a distance. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
