There have been many leaks surrounding the most recent Pokemon games that are set to be coming out fairly soon and they paint a fairly tragic picture. The image you see above is the fully confirmed list of Pokemon that have been cut from the game with green meaning they are in, white meaning they are out and orange meaning they have a new regional variant.
The list is shocking, but what is perhaps more shocking is the fact that in total the game will have around 400 Pokemon and from previous games this means around 60% of all Pokemon have been cut from the game. It’s extremely disheartening to see and it has confirmed my belief that I probably won’t be buying this entry.
The main thing that confuses me is I really don’t see a reason why so many were cut aside from just being lazy. The graphics aren’t anything revolutionary and the amount of features seems to be similar to that of the previous games so this Thanos snap of the Pokedex appears to have happened for seemingly no reason. Anyway it will be interesting to see how reviews of the game will be knowing so much has been cut, I imagine bad times are ahead for Game Freak.
