Bold Attack

Collision!

Epic seems to have gone for a bold attack against Steam by making a new studio purchase and making sly comments about the fact that it ‘may’ remove the game from Steam once it becomes available on the Epic Games Store.

Psyonix, the company that Epic purchased, is the creator of the incredibly successful Rocket League and as such the game’s presence on Steam is being threatened with the move to the new digital distribution platform. While Epic representatives have said that their are no ‘current’ plans to remove the game from Steam that very well may change later in the year once it eventually gets added to the Epic Store as they have been incredibly evasive when talking about this point.

It seems as though Epic are really starting to pick up the pace when it comes to combating Steam and I will be very interested to see if any other games will be essentially taken from Steam’s platform. Epic doesn’t seem to be interested in being competition for Steam, they seemingly want to become the new Steam having a monopoly over the games market on PC. Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.

That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
