Well to say I’m surprised would be an understatement. A digital Quakecon took place last weekend and didn’t really have that much to say concerning what exactly was going on in the development world however we did get what is perhaps something nobody really expected, DOOM: Eternal story DLC!
The Ancient Gods (Part 1) is what this new piece of content is being referred to and while we didn’t get much information at this event Betehsda promised to reveal more about it at Gamescom this year so I suppose we will hear more about it then. The only thing we do know is that it takes place directly after the end of Eternal’s story and will follow the larger scale cosmic ramifications of the Doom Slayer’s rampage during the story. I never expected this game to get actual story DLC so I’m interested to see where this goes and how exactly it will be implemented.
