While this isn’t strictly gaming news I thought it was an interesting enough story to relay to you all anyway.
The image you see above you is infact a prestigous painting known as ‘Edmond de Belamy’ which is being sold at one of the biggest art auctions in the world in London soon. The interesting thing about it however is that it is also the first ever painting created entirely by an AI that is being sold as serious art. The AI in question is a french art collective known as Obvious which takes inspirations from human paintings and uses its own algorithms to create art of its own design. This is absolutely fascinating and if Ai is capable of creating something as subjective to the human mind as Art then who knows what they could create in the future. Maybe one day we will see an entirely AI created video game, now that would be exciting!
