In a bit of a surprise the new Smash Bros Ultimate character was just released alongside a brand new patch for the game that brought along a very easy setting for the single player Adventure mode and a whole lot of balance changes.
‘The Hero’ as then game calls them are a collection of different protagonists from the Dragon Quest games and all are skins that play exactly the same. The character may very well end up being the most complicated in the series due to having standard sword and shield combat with a few normal spells like a fireball and lightning attack however Down B brings up a spell menu in which a random selection of magic spells can be chosen such as warping you to the centre of the stage or buffing your speed. This makes his playstyle rather chaotic and random if you want to chance the spell menu which could lead to some very interesting playstyles.
Alongside the new character of course we were given music tracks from Dragon Quest and even a brand new stage. All in all if you’re a fan of this series then you no doubt have already bought and played the new character and I am certainly looking forward to seeing how the pro players handle such a chaotic character.
