A big rumour has started circling around the gaming news circles concerning certain leakers who are stating that Valve will be releasing a new Half Life game soon, but it’s not the kind of game you might be thinking of.
The rumour is, according to sources, that the new game will be an in-house developed VR titles called Half Life: Alyx. The game will seemingly of course focus on the character of Alyx Vance and will be revealed officially at The Game Awards event on December 12th. Now this is a huge claim and that’s all it is for now, just a claim but it does seem to line up. You see Valve also announced earlier this year that they would be releasing a “flagship” VR game which this would certaonly fit that bill.
Whether or not this ends up happening either way it’s an interesting idea even if it’s not what everyone wants. At least it will prove that Valve is at least open to exploring the Half Life universe again although it will still remain to be seen if this will be taken any further. Either way I suppose we will find out next month whether this supposed leaker can be trusted or not!

UPDATE: Well I haven’t had to do one of these in a while. Turns out overnight before I posted this that the game was officially confirmed by Valve and that the game would be fully revealed on the 21st. Stay tuned for that then I suppose!
