In a strange twist last weekend I decided to purchase a copy of Crypt of the Necrodancer for the Switch as it was on sale for a very good price. I’ve always found the idea of the game interesting but never thought to buy it until the price went down enough. Well as it turns out I’ve been missing a lot as it’s a great amount of fun.
For those who might not know the concept essentially this is a rogue-like grid dungeon crawler similar to the Mystery Dungeon series except instead of going at your own pace you move and attack to the beat of the music playing. Each character you play has their own music and abilities and the enemies too react to the music in different ways. I actually found myself enjoying this game so much that doing standard tasks throughout the day now have me doing them to the beat of a song, maybe that’s worrying…
Regardless I will certainly be playing more of this and I encourage you all to try it out too as it’s a great time. That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
