Multiplayer fighting games are rather unique among the community of gamers due to the competitive scene essentially sorting themselves out rather than relying upon developer support or restrictions. One of the best examples of this is the infamous ‘Tier List’ that happens every time a new fighting game comes out.
People want to know who the best fighters in the game are so they rely upon the community in general and professional gamers in order to get a structured list that tells us who is good and who is bad. Smash Bros Ultimate is no exception and while I still believe it is way too early to be discussing who are the best characters some already have their full tier list ready to share with others. While some can follow these lists to have the best ‘meta’ picks I prefer to just play whoever is the most fun and reliable for me. So you can keep your tier list Ultimate, I’ll be playing King K.
