In Development

The home of the good, and the bad…

When you play a game that is under development a certain amount of expectation for how the game should turn out plays in your head as you enjoy the experience. I think my first experience of this was trying out Minecraft while it was in beta 1.5. Despite it already being out for a long time there was much I wanted it to become and wouldn’t you know now it’s one of the biggest games in the world.

While playing more of It Lurks Below I’ve realised that now I have a chance to watch a game grow and develop over time. The creator has updated the game almost every single day taking feedback and new ideas as to how the game could be better and implimenting it in a way that most developers could only dream of doing so quickly. Nevertheless it does lead to some problems as due to the game changing so much you can never really settle on a feel for the game and you especially can’t rely upon a specific strategy for fears that it will be completely changed in just a few days. Still I find this idea of playing as the game develops interesting and I am certainly still enjoying this game. Let’s just hope it keeps getting these amazing updates.

That’s all for now, and as always. It’s not just a game, It’s a Life.
