With a new year (and a new decade at that!) finally upon us it’s time to look towards the future at what 2020 will bring us and wow for the start of the year it looks like it will be packed.Three games in particular have me excited so far but who knows what other titles may surprise/entice me when they rear their heads this year.
The first is of course from the image you can see above, Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I always found a special place in my heart for Animal Crossing games and so not only seeing this new entry but realising that I will get to play it co-op with my partner as we build a brand new town from scratch brings me a great amount of joy.
The second is the game that will finally make me feel as though it was worth investing in VR so early, Half Life: Alyx. With the promise that the game will be a full Half Life experience and that it will provide an excellent benchmark as to how VR will work in the gaming sector this could very well be the start of not only a future of well polished and incredibly fun VR games but also a revival of the Half Life series, maybe we will get that third entry after all.
Finally is perhaps what most people are anticipating for this year, Cyberpunk 2077. Having now played The Witcher 3 and understanding what all the hype was about I can say for certain that I am extremely hyped for the next game from CD Projekt Red. All I can say about it is I hope the game really does live up to the hype surrounding it.
Overall then it seems like 2020 will be great for the gaming industry and who knows what else the year will have in store.
